For PhD students

We strongly believe in the importance of conferences for PhD students and would like to make LCR 2026 a rewarding and memorable experience for them. Consequently, our programme includes a number of activities and events tailored to support their academic development, encourage meaningful connections, and create opportunities for informal exchange. No matter whether you are presenting your work, seeking feedback, or simply looking to meet peers from around the world, we aim to provide a welcoming environment where this (and more) can happen.

The day before the conference – 16 September 2026

  • 3 workshops (details tba)
  • PhD session + follow-up dinner (see note below)

This is a new conference format. The presenter gets 10 minutes to present their paper and receives 10 minutes of expert feedback.

PhD session (day before the conference)

Do you want to meet other PhD students? Would you like to do a flash presentation of your research and receive some feedback? Then this session is for you. Depending on the interest we will book a restaurant for after so that you can carry on into the evening.

Certificates will be provided for all types of activities.
